Norma Jean Westerfield, 84, of Akron, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on July 28, 1941.
Through friends, she met her future husband, Lyndle Westerfield. They married in 1966 and their family grew to include three children. They moved to Ohio to be close to relatives and were happily married for 52 years until Lyndle's passing in 2018.
Norma was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an excellent cook and baker. Her legendary apple pie will be missed by everyone who knew her.
In addition to her husband, Norma was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Probus; and siblings, Robert Probus and Anna Kester.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Vickie (Dwight) McDaniel, Debie Burden, and Tim (Donna) Westerfield; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Per Norma's wishes, she will be privately laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
