Robert Westerfield Obituary
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Azalea Rest Cemetery in Zachary.
He is survived by his son, Robert Glynn Westerfield, Jr. ("Robbie"), and wife Rachel of Metairie; his sister, Emma Westerfield of Central; his brothers, Mark Logsdon and wife Mary of Zachary, and Ricky Logsdon and wife Jana of Satsuma; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews as well as his beloved grandchildren, Gabrielle "Gabby," Rylee, Robert, and Brees, all of Metairie.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha Westerfield; his mother, Edith Logsdon; his father, Dan Kelly Westerfield; his great-grandparents, Elmer and Emma Jackson; and his brothers, John Johnson, Albert Johnson, and Jimmie Logsdon.
Robert was raised in the Pentecostal faith, which shaped his gentle spirit. His favorite color was green, reflecting his love for the outdoors. He found joy in sitting on his front porch, talking to the birds and squirrels, watching the deer play in his yard, and spending quiet time in his little shack out back. He especially loved listening to blues music. Robert lived life with a laid-back demeanor and a deep appreciation for simplicity, peace, and the beauty of nature.
He will be dearly missed and forever remembered by those who loved him.
