Norman Bellar, of
Pasadena, Texas, passed away on January 20, 2026, at the age of 71. He was born on December 21, 1954, and leaves behind a family who loved him deeply and will miss him more than words can say.
Norman was a steady, hardworking man - the kind of man who didn't need to say much to make an impact. You could count on him. He showed his love by being there, by helping, by providing, and by always doing what needed to be done.
Norman spent his entire career as a lineman for CenterPoint Energy, and he took real pride in his work. He was dedicated, dependable, and known for his strong work ethic. Norman loved working with his hands and stayed busy his whole life, always fixing things, building things, or working on something. Even after retirement, that never changed - he was always moving and always staying productive.
Norman enjoyed getting out of the house and doing the things that made him happy. He liked going camping in his RV when he could, and he also loved to ride his Harley.
Norman was also a man of faith and consistency. He faithfully attended church every Sunday, and his values showed in the way he lived - through loyalty, integrity, and love for his family.
Above everything, Norman loved his family.
He was a devoted husband to Selina Bellar, and the life they built together was full of love and commitment. He was a proud father to his sons, Seth Bellar and Jacob Bellar, and he loved them deeply. He led by example and taught through the way he lived - with strength, hard work, and always being there for the people who mattered most.
To his grandchildren, Norman was Papa, a title he carried with pride. Luke Bellar and Isla meant the world to him, and the love he gave them will stay with them forever.
Norman will be remembered for his steady presence, his strong hands, his faithful heart, and the love he had for his family. Though he is gone, his impact and his memory will always remain.
Rest easy, Papa Norman.
You will always be loved, always missed, and never forgotten.
Norman is preceded in death by his Father Seth Daniel Bellar Jr. and his mother Mary (Eulene) Bellar.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Selina Bellar and his sons, Seth Bellar and Jacob Bellar. He also leaves behind his sisters Diane Savage and Kay Roberts, along with many nieces, nephews and numerous other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday January 31, 2026, 11 AM at Alta Vista Church located 2900 Spencer Hwy
Pasadena, Texas 77504.
