Obituary published on Legacy.com by Chatman-Harris Funeral Home West on May 19, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norman Lee Bull Jr., affectionately known as BooBoo, who was called home to be with the Lord on the beautiful Sunday morning of April 27, 2025. Born on February 10, 1989, at Sinai Hospital, Norman was the cherished firstborn son of the late Barbara and Norman Bull Sr. His life, though too brief, was filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering spirit that touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Norman received his education within the Baltimore City Public School System and pursued his passion for business at Phoenix University, where he began classes in Business Administration. Although he did not complete his degree, his ambition and dedication were evident in every endeavor he undertook. From an early age, Norman accepted Christ into his life, finding solace and purpose in his faith. He sang joyfully in the choir at New Horizons Deliverance Center, where his love for music and community flourished.
A devoted father, Norman took immense pride in his son, Joshua Sutton, born on November 9, 2007. While he never had the opportunity to marry, his love for Joshua was boundless, and he cherished every moment spent together. Norman's culinary passion led him to work as a chef at Stevenson University, a position he held with great pride. His commitment to his work was unparalleled; he was always willing to lend a hand, even on his days off, embodying the true spirit of dedication. His true passion of one day owning his own food truck was something he sought after and talked about very often. Norman loved to cook and was very good at it too.
Norman was a man with a heart of gold, always ready to give, even when he had little to spare. He was only a phone call or yell away if you needed help. Even when he was bettering himself he found it within his heart to go out and minister to others to let them know that their life was worth more than what they thought it was. He was a beacon of hope and encouragement, often reaching out to uplift others, reminding them of their worth and potential. His infectious spirit drew people in, and once you were his friend, you were a friend for life. Norman loved to socialize, and his family gatherings were filled with joy, laughter, and his signature thoughtful gifts for his loved ones.
Family was everything to Norman. He was fiercely protective of his siblings and nephews, always ensuring they felt loved and supported. His generosity knew no bounds; he would give the coat off his back to anyone in need. His nephews knew they could always count on Uncle BooBoo to make their wishes come true, and his presence was a source of comfort and joy for all.
Norman is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Barbara and Norman Bull Sr., his grandfathers, Willis Scott and James Bull, his grandmother, Pearl Bull, and several aunts and uncles. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, including his two sisters, Lakeisha and Erica (Chris), one brother, Treshawn (Breasia), his son, Joshua, and nine adoring nephews: DaMariyo, Bryan Jr., Jaylen, Daryl, Julian, Blake, Treshawn Jr., Dallas, and Tristan. He is also survived by his grandmother, Rachel King (Saluda, VA), three uncles, Bruce, Howard Jr. (Tangie), and Frank, one aunt, Diane (Q), seven cousins, Wanda, Gwen, Gene, Vernon, Kenneth, Keon and Dominick, a special sister, Pumpkin, a special brother, Lyndon, and a very special friend Tykeria and a host of family and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Norman Lee Bull Jr. was a special soul whose love for family and friends was boundless. His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those he touched. As we remember BooBoo, let us carry forward his legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
