Norman Dewey Greene, of Sneedville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 21, 2015. He was saved at an early age and was a member of Trent Valley Baptist Church. He taught school in Hancock County for 41 years and served as school board member for the past five years. He was also a retired member of the Sneedville Volunteer Fire Department and served several terms as a member of the Sneedville City Council.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy Greene; son, Brian Greene and wife, Nikki; grandsons, Austin and Alex Greene, whom he was very proud of and loved to hear them play music; sister, Pam Goodman and husband, John; nephew, Eric Goodman and wife, Jennifer and their children Allison, Gabrielle and Luke; niece, Jessica Dalton and husband, Lance and their children, Lanie and Cassi; brother-in-law, Larry Carroll and wife, Brenda and their children, Lauren and Travis.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24 at Trent Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Memorial services will held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24 at Trent Valley Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Rex Cole and the Rev. Matthew Hunter officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trent Valley Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund.
