Norman D. Grenier, of Ocala, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on December 1, 2025. He was born on December 29, 1949, in Waterville, Maine, and later moved to Central New York, where he graduated from Chittenango High School in 1968. Shortly after, Norm proudly answered the call to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, serving from December 30, 1969, to May 13, 1971.

On August 24, 1991, Norm married the love of his life, Sarann (McGrath) Grenier. Together, they created a life centered on family, faith, and laughter. Norm was deeply involved in his community—coaching Pop Warner football for many years, sharing in his family’s passions, and spending over four decades camping in the Adirondacks, a place he cherished.

Norm devoted 35 years of service as a welder for the Madison County Highway Department, where he was respected for his skill, dedication, and quick wit. He also spent many joyful years as a proud member of Syracuse HOG and the Valley Desperados, building lifelong friendships through his love of Harley-Davidsons and the open road. In Florida, Norm was a committed member of both the Marion County community and Our Landing at Worship Church under Pastor Jeannie Hill.

A man of deep faith and boundless generosity, Norm had a gift for making others laugh. He loved praying, helping those in need, riding motorcycles, and spending time with the family he treasured above all else.

Norm is survived by his beloved wife, Sarann Grenier; his sons, Christopher Grenier (Jennifer) and John Grenier (Jenn); and his stepdaughters, Jennifer Bush (Kerri) and Constance Bush (Gregory Chase). He also leaves behind his sisters, Debbie Horan and Glenyse Grenier; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose M. Grenier and Norman J. Grenier; his brothers, Louis Grenier and Paul Grenier; and his sister, Jean Cox.

Norm’s legacy—defined by kindness, humor, faith, and service—will continue to live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29 from 3:00–5:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home in Dunnellon, Florida. There will be a procession starting at 9:30 am on Tuesday, December 30, going to Florida National Cemetery where a committal service with military honors will take place at 11:00am.
