Norman Perry Jackson, 76, passed away on Saturday, December 27th, 2025. He was born in Terre Haute on October 27th, 1949, to Norman and Sibbie Jackson.

Norman served his country in the Army Reserves for 6 years from 1968 until 1974. Norman was an avid hunter and fisherman; and loved to spend time outdoors. When he wasn’t outdoors, Norman was watching his favorite TV show, Storage Wars. Norman was a part of the Universal Fire Department, serving as their fire chief for 20+ years. He was also part of the Universal Young Men’s Club and enjoyed the spot shoots the club would put on. Most importantly Normans kids, grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids were his pride and joy, and loved every minute he spent with them.

Norman is survived by his wife, Judy Jackson; sons, Brad Jackson (Annie) and Perry Jackson (Amy); Daughter, Melanie Cobble (Dave); brother in-law, Verlin Funkhouser (Phyllis); sister in- laws, Juanita Merkle (Ray) and Georgia Shank; grandkids, Kaci Morris, T.J. Graham (Rebecca), Jacob Cobble (Brandy), Abbey Cobble, Chris Jackson (Erin), Kailey Jackson (Ross), Kristen Asbury, Amanda Lopez, and Meagen Asbury; as well as 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and 2 sisters.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Norman Riley Jackson and Sibbie Schoffstall Jackson as well as one brother.

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Crisis Pregnancy Center of the Wabash Valley. 530 Wabash Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47807

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, IN, on Friday, January 2nd, 2026, beginning at 6:00 pm with cremation to follow. Visitation will be held from 4pm until service time in the funeral home.
