Norman Roger Kilker, 66, of Freeport, IL passed away Friday November 10, 2023 in his home. He was born April 28, 1957 in Freeport, IL to Roger and Audrey (Foat) Kilker. Norman graduated in 1975 from Forreston High School. In high school Norman participated in cross country, basketball and baseball. After graduating high school, Norman attended MacMurray College and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice. Norman worked at the Belleville County Jail as a corrections officer for 20 years. In his later years, Norman did roofing. He enjoyed listening and watching the Chicago Cubs and Bulls. He is survived by his two sons Adam and Andrew; parents Roger and Audrey Kilker of Forreston, IL; sister Debra (Garry) Gromley of Normal, IL; brother Keith (Kinga) Kilker of Lemont, IL; and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday November 20, 2023 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston, IL with Pastor Eddie Eddy officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Norman's memory.

Norm and I enjoyed some long car rides back and forth to MacMurray College my freshman year in all kinds of weather. We had some lively conversations on our drives, and it was always comforting to have someone from home on campus. I remember his love for basketball in HS and that he played in the band and ran XC. He was an avid sports fan in general, and we both cheered for the Cubs! Being friends with Debbie, i remember the two of them having some grand sibling quarrels...similar to those i had at home! LOL
My sympathy to the entire Kilker family. I hope you all find your happy memories of Norman to bring you peace.
