Mr. Norman Clark Marshall, age 76 of 5th Street in Tennille, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, following an extended illness. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Washington County Memorial Gardens, with Reverend Weston Williford officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Mr. Marshall was a life-long resident of Washington County, the son of the late Arlie Hansen Marshall, and the late Mary Frances Marshall. He spent his working career in the Sign Shop of the Georgia Department of Transportation in Tennille, from which he retired. Mr. Marshall was an avid sports fan and memorabilia collector. He enjoyed watching all sports but was a tried-and-true baseball fan. Mr. Marshall was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things of life. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Robert Marshall.
Mr. Marshall is survived by his sister, Mary Garner and her husband John Garner, Sr., of Warthen; nieces, Dawn Durden and her husband Clint of Warthen, and Missy Hart and her husband Shane of Deepstep; nephews, John Garner Jr., and his wife Michelle of Tennille; John Robert Marshall, and David Marshall, both of Sandersville; and sister-in-law, Janet Marshall of Sandersville.
