Norman R. Routhier

Norman R. Routhier, 84 of Easthampton, MA passed away on April 25th at Care One in Northampton. Norman was born in Holyoke on June 6,1940 to Edmond and Alma (Brisson) Routhier. He was a lifelong resident of Easthampton. Norman was a graduate of Assumption Preparatory School in Worcester and Holyoke Community College.

He worked as a programmer for Stanley Home Products for 35 years and New England Fidelity Insurance, he retired in 2001. Norman enjoyed playing golf and traveling.

Norman is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Eileen, his son Kenneth Routhier and Christine of Phoenix AZ, his daughters Sandra Descoteaux and Sam of South Glastonbury, CT, Beth Ann Pitoniak of Leominster and Michelle Bazanchuk and Kenneth of Agawam. Norman leaves his adored grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah, Abigail, Ethan, Emily, and Julianne. His brother Rene Routhier of South Hadley and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers; Edmond, Eugene and Roland Routhier along with his sisters; Rita Torrey, Jeanne Genovese and Doris Suleski.

Services were held privately and entrusted to the Boucher - O'Brien Funeral Home, Easthampton, MA. Norman was laid to rest at Brookside Cemetery.
