Norman "Buzz" Study, of Shalimar, Florida was born Monday, May 28, 1934 to Bain and Audrey Ethel Study, in Fremont County, Iowa. Buzz met Mary Jensen at Fort Calhoun, Nebraska and fifteen months later, they were married on June 4, 1957.
During the twenty-three years Buzz spent in the United States Air Force, he was stationed at many bases around the world: Offutt AFB, NE, Denver Tech Training, Colorado, Chanute AFB, Illinois, Johnson AFB, Yokota, Japan, Laredo AFB, Texas, Phan Rang Air Base, Viet-Nam, Luke AFB, Arizona, Hahn AFB, Germany and Eglin AFB in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
After retirement from the Air Force, Buzz managed the Milk Processing Plant at ACI Correctional Institute. Then he worked nine and a half years in Civil Service as an Aircraft Electrician at NAS, Jacksonville, FL. Buzz then became successful investing in rental properties.
When Buzz wasn't working, he was very active in the Air Force Sergeants Association (Life Member), VFW (Life Member), Masonic Lodge (50 year member), Volunteer Firefighter/First responder, and Ft. Walton Beach Hospital Auxiliary (pushing wheelchairs). He enjoyed RVing, fishing and being with friends.
Buzz is survived by his lovely wife, Mary, his two sons, Bryan Dean and Wesley John; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren, as well as his two brothers. Sadly, his six sisters predeceased him.
Buzz was known to be hard working, always willing to help others, and having a keen sense of humor. Someone once described him as being "a little rough around the edges, but a good guy".
