Al Study

Al Study, 83, of rural Warsaw, Indiana passed at 2:45 pm, Monday, August 11, 2025 in Warsaw, Indiana. Al was born on Feb. 5, 1942 in Akron, Indiana to the late Floyd and Hazel (Heir) Study. He was a 1960 graduate of Beaver Dam High School, where he was noted for his basketball skills. Al owned and operated Sheepskin Express and previously owned Al Study Racing Stable, where he trained his successful standardbred racing stable in the Chicago area for many years. Al also was a former realtor in the Warsaw area. He is survived by Linda and Delbert Mowery and special thanks to niece Kim and her husband Brian McHose. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as friends. Al was preceded in death by his parents and his loving son Chad Allan Study in 2020. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025 at King Memorial Home 101 North Tucker Street Mentone, Indiana with Pastor Robert Herman, chaplain for Heartland Hospice, will officiate. The interment will take place following the service in Palestine Cemetery, Palestine, Indiana, next to his son Chad. Visitation hours will be from 10:30 m to 12:00 noon, Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025 at King Memorial Home, Mentone, Indiana.
