Norman Lee Wood

Norman Lee Wood, 76, died on February 23, 2024, in Wheeling, WV. Norman was born in Glen Dale, WV, on January 26, 1948, the son of Myrl S. and Opal Virginia (Rutan) Wood.
In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his companion of many years Juanita Workman; sisters Sylvia Dunlap, Connie Young, and Eva Coulter; brothers Joseph Wood and Robert Wood; step-daughter Paula Maples; and step-grandson Chaz Lightner.
Norman is survived by daughters Opal Workman and Shari Wood; a son Norman Workman; sisters Joan (Mark) Cunningham, Vera Applegarth, Donna Riggs, and Eulelah Riddle; brothers Evert Allen Wood and Melvin Wood; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Norman loved working on cars, gardening, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered as someone who always cared for others more than himself and who would do anything for those he loved.
