Norris Paul Touchet Sr., 71, of St. Martinville, LA, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at his home in New Iberia, LA.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial service to honor Norris' life at Our Saviors Church, located at 655 Highway 96 of Broussard, from 1pm to 3pm on Monday, July 21, 2025.

Norris was a devoted husband, father, brother, and uncle-hardworking, loyal, and steadfast. Although he had a tough exterior and one-of-a-kind spirit, those who truly knew him understood the sweet, giving heart that lay beneath. He was a man like no other, and he fought with strength and courage until the very end.

Norris lived for the simple joys in life-with fishing always at the top of his list. Whether day or night, he found peace and happiness on the water, often joined by family and friends. Always willing to lend a hand, Norris used his "jack-of-all-trades" skills to help those he loved, never expecting anything in return.

His legacy of love, strength, and generosity will forever be remembered by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rachel Champagne Touchet; daughter, Chancy (Chris) Crochet; son, Todd Touchet; sisters Lilly (late spouse, Terry) Esponge and Lou (Richard) Davis; and his brother, Alton Touchet (late spouse, Dot). He was known as Pawpaw to his ten grandkids, Christopher "CJ" Crochet, Lexie Crochet, Jesse Touchet, Steven Touchet, Courtney (Alex) Leblanc, Hannah Owens, Zayla Touchet, Rufus Touchet, Levi Touchet, and Layney Touchet; and adored by his six great-grandchildren, Stevie Touchet, Noah Touchet, Carter Leblanc, Kohen Leblanc, Kolton Coco, and Brinsleigh Owens.

He is proceeded in death by his son Norris Touchet Jr.; parents Archangel and Lita Touchet; brothers, Roland Touchet, Wilson Touchet, Russell Toucheck, and Raymond Toucheck.

Hope you are catching the biggest trout up there. You will be missed dearly. Love Ya.
