Laura Guynn Obituary

Laura was a smart, strong, and independent woman who took great pride in her "little blue house" in the country. She loved the outdoors and found joy in camping, fishing and fossil hunting. A graduate of Acadiana High School, Class of 1972, Laura went on to build a long and dedicated career at Stuller Settings, where she retired after more than 25 years of service.
She has joined her father and mother in heaven, Robert L. Guynn and Barbara J. Guynn. She is survived by her siblings, Lorna H. Guynn and husband George M. Crowley, and Judy G. McBane and husband David.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Southern Grace Hospice and our Lady of Lourdes doctors and staff for their thoughtful and compassionate care during this time.
Laura will be buried at Bellevue Memorial cemetery in Opelousas, LA with her parents and grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, any donations to an organization that supports cancer research in Laura's name would be appreciated.

I was sad to hear of Laura´s passing. She was such a sweet and intelligent woman. When she spoke with you, she was 100% in the moment and conversation. She always made me feel like I was worthy of her complete attention and she was very contemplative in a conversation.
I´ll remember her for her intelligence, free-spirit, open mindedness, and love of nature! God-speed, Laura!

One of my best friends. I loved her dearly. I never knew someone with so much common sense. My best memory of her is when she would come to the house on Christmas Eve and help me put toys together. The kids loved her and they said she was the history lady because she knew so much. I will miss her.
