Lafayette: Brenda Francis was born September 25, 1956 to Nolan and Le'Ida Francis. She entered into eternal rest on October 1, 2025.
A proud graduate of Acadiana High School, Brenda lived a life full of compassion, dedication, and joy. She devoted over 20 years of service at Piccadilly, later serving as a Direct Care Aide for 10 years at Robinswood, and most recently as a Dietician for 12 years at Memorial Hospital. She was also well known in the community as a gracious and welcoming host at The Petroleum Club of Lafayette, where her warm spirit left a lasting impression on all who met her. Family was the heart of her world.
She was the proud mother of Takesha and Danielle Edmond, and a loving grandmother to Da'kobe and Da'monie Edmond, Christopher Broussard, Me'khi Edmond, Da'bron Holmes, and Milliara Jenkins. Her love for her family was unwavering, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nolan and Le'Ida Francis; her brothers, Hebert, Shelton, Patrick, and Robert Francis; and her sisters, Betty Jean Duhon, Wonda Mae Davis, and RoseNella Francis.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted sister, Maudry (Herman Sr.) Crutcher, two god-children Blaine Crutcher and Consuella Batiste, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends. Her kindness, laughter, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on through the many lives she touched.
