Lafayette: Gerardette "Marie" Burke (Geebie) was born in Lafayette, LA on December 11, 1971 to Purnella Burke & the late Fredrick Burke of Lafayette, LA.
She will be remembered as a kind, loving, outgoing, outspoken, proud, and a protector of our family. She loved her music, as well as swinging out. She's forever in our hearts and truly loved and missed.
She leaves to cherish in loving memory her children; Brielle, Kenosha, Joseph and the late Sharika, ten grandkids; Antonio, Kylee, Semaj, Senaj, Ka'Son, K'Sen, Saniya, Sy'mori, Sy'mari, Sy'Ray, two godchildren; Diamond & Kylon, five siblings; Fredrick L., Fredrick J., Terry, Shawana, Sharona and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
