Norvell Ford "N.F." Jackson

Norvell Ford Jackson, born on June 8th, 1946, passed away on February 9th, 2024. He was born in the serene art and fishing community of Rockport, Texas, to parents Norvell and Neva Jackson. His upbringing was characterized by idyllic moments and cherished memories.
Upon graduating high school, Norvell pursued higher education, earning a degree from North Texas State University. His journey led him to enlist in the navy, where he achieved the esteemed rank of Commander 05. Even amidst his military service, Norvell pursued academic excellence, obtaining his law degree from the University of Texas Law School. He briefly practiced law in Rockport before dedicating himself to the family business in Newport News and Cartagena.
In 1982, Norvell relocated to Bellingham, where he embarked in a career serving as the Superior Court Administrator, County Clerk, and Court Commissioner. His commitment spanned 23 years of service in the navy, followed by an additional 4 years in the judicial system, culminating in his well-deserved retirement after 27 years of dedicated service.
In the year 2000, Norvell's life was forever enriched when he crossed paths with Eric Humphries. Their love story blossomed, marked by the daily exchange of heartfelt declarations and nightly embraces. Their union was sealed on November 11th, 2013, as Eric took the name Jackson, embodying their shared journey of love and devotion. Reflecting on their bond, Norvell often evoked a lyric, "sometime in my past or childhood, I must have done something good."
Norvell Ford Jackson was preceded in death by his parents, Norvell and Neva Jackson, as well as his sister, Mary Lucille Jackson, and brother, Robert Milton "Bobby" Jackson. He is survived by his devoted husband, Eric Anthony Jackson, his brother, John Porter Jackson(Debbie), and numerous nieces and nephews.
