Mr. O.D. England, age 88 of the Glade Springs Community, LaFollette passed away Friday, September 29, 2023. He was a member of Forks Grove Baptist Church, was a well-known and long-time logger, and enjoyed farming. O.D. also worked for a time mining and hauling coal. He was a generous and hard-working Man who was always willing to help those who would help themselves, and was the best Father in the world. Preceded in death by Parents, Huss and Myrtle England, Great-Granddaughter, Amanda Comer, “Favorite” Son-in-law, Arlon Durl Jones, Brothers, J. Will, John, and Jim England, Sisters, Lillis Hopper and Lillian Tolliver, and an Infant Brother.
Survivors: Beloved Wife of nearly 70 years, Mrs. Billie England; Daughter, Mollie Jones and Dallas Fredricks; Son, Kelly England and Wife, Michelle; Grandchildren, Debra Lambdin (Shea), Jessie Vinsant (Wes), Brandie Seiber (Jon), Casey Comer (Shannon), and Ben Comer (Kellie); Great-Grandchildren, Dean, Madison, Jax, and Emily Vinsant, Kaylee and Savanna Lambdin, Bentley, Gabrial, and Thomas Seiber; Tim “Tigger”, Miranda, and Destiny Comer, and 2 more on the way, Waylon and Dylan; Brother, Clifton England; Special Sisters-in-law, Peggy Heck, Judy Bolinger, and Patsy Monday; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family would like to express a special Thank You to the friends and family who dropped by to visit and to the Doctors, Nurses, and Hospice team that provided incredible care.
Funeral Services Monday, October 2, 2023, 6:00 P.M. at Forks Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Poston officiating. Interment to follow at England Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. Monday before funeral services. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. O.D. England.
