Obed V. Hasette, A beloved sister and friend passed away on March 25, 2024. She was known for her kind heart, warm smile, and unwavering love for her family and friends.Obed touched the lives of many, and her memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born July 19, 1964, Obed led a fulfilling life. She was a member of Templo La Hermosa for several years and served as church secretary. She attended CLADIC Seminary in Los Angeles, California, at which time she along with other seminary students taught Vacation Bible School.However, above all else she treasured moments spent with her family and friends creating special memories.
Obed will be deeply missed by her sisters and brothers: Arcelia (Gary) Chamberlin of Oak Harbor, WA, Bertha (Rev. David) Sosa of Dallas, TX, Noemi (Amado) Trevino of Ricardo, TX, Noelia Vera of
Kingsville, TX, Dalia (Paul) Gonzalez of Corpus Christi, TX, Robert V. Hasette of
Kingsville, TX, and Felipe G. (Sylvia) Hasette of Corpus Christi, TX; Brother-in-law David DelaPaz of
Kingsville, TX; Sister-in-law Tina G. Hasette of Corpus Christi, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents Felipe G. and Concepcion V. Hasette; her sister Minnie H. DelaPaz; her brothers Ambrosio V. (Aurora) Hasette, Eloy (Gloria) Hasette, Rick V. Hasette; Brother-in-law Sam Vera; and Sister-In-Law Lupita R. Hasette.
During this time of mourning, let us remember Obed for the light she brought to the world and the love she shared without reservation. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her kindness and compassion.
Service to honor Obed's life will be held at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in
Kingsville, TX. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a funeral service to begin at 7:00 PM. Let us come together to celebrate Obed's remarkable journey and find solace in the memories we shared with her. May she rest in peace knowing she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
