Octavio "Bing" Maranan

Octavio "Bing" Padilla Maranan passed away on Monday,

September 22, 2025, at the age of 69, after a brief battle with cancer.

He was surrounded by his devoted family. Bing was a man whose

heart, humor, and generosity will continue to live on in all who knew

and loved him.

Born on October 11, 1955, in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines, Bing

was the son of Catalino and Leonarda Maranan. He earned a degree

in Business Entrepreneurship from Heald College and went on to

build a meaningful career in real estate, loan services, and rental car

management. Gifted with a talent for building, he often used his

hands and vision to create and improve. His final projects included

lovingly updating the family home he cherished for 44 years.

Bing lived an active and vibrant life. He enjoyed daily walks and bike

rides, as well as frequent travels to Southern California to visit his

two sons and two granddaughters. His adventurous spirit,

dedication to family, and zest for life were evident in everything he

did.

He is survived by his beloved wife and life companion of 47 years,

Celedonia Maranan; his sons, JP and Oliver; his daughter-in-law,

Phoebe; and his granddaughters, Makenzie and Merabella, who

brought him immense joy. He is also lovingly remembered by his five

sisters-Ever, Sonia, Dely, Eden, and his twin sister, Lunesa-along

with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends whose

lives he touched.

Though he is no longer with us, we take comfort in knowing that Bing

rests peacefully in the Lord's eternal embrace.
