Odell Ware

Funeral services for Mr. O'Dell Ware, of Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 2 PM at the C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel in the Dudley Funeral Home, 617 East Jackson Street in Dublin. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

O'Dell Ware was born on Tuesday, March 28, 1950, in Colquitt, Miller County, Georgia, to John Henry and Bertha L. Ware. O'Dell joined and was raised in Springfield Missionary Baptist Church. He received his formal education from Bethel Elementary and High School in Colquitt, Georgia, and graduated in the Class of 1968.

O'Dell loved to fish, travel and entertain family and friends, as that was his friendly nature.

He departed this earthly life on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in Dublin, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Yolondo Ware, Reginald Smith, siblings, Nathaniel John Henry Ware, Jr., A. C. Ware, Freddie Ware, Odessa Warren, Dorothy Bell Miller and Patricia Ware.

He leaves to cherish his many memories, a loving wife, Gweneva Ware, children, Yolonda (Robert) Johnson, Roberta (Tommy) Hightower, both of Albany, GA, and Willis Smith of Dublin, Georgia, Tracy Ware, and Renee Ware, both of Bainbridge, Georgia, two brothers, Clarence Ware of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, William Ware, Sr., of Colquitt, Georgia, one sister, Willie Mae (David) Span of Jacksonville, Florida, sister-in-law, Mary H. Ware of Albany, Georgia, three brothers-in-law, Larry Vickers, Ralph Vickers, Freeman Vickers, all of Dublin, Georgia, two sisters-in-law, Jan (Ralph) Jones of Detroit, Michigan, Rose (Willie) Ross of Dublin, Georgia, a host of many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
