Odessia Fay Hooper, age 79, of McEwen, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Humphreys County Care & Rehab, in Waverly, Tennessee. Fay Hooper was born June 12, 1945, in McEwen, Tennessee, to Roy Thomas Hooper, Jr. and Maudie Smith Hooper. She was a graduate of McEwen High School Class of 1963. She was a retired Communication Engineer after 40+ years from telephone companies including BellSouth and AT&T. She was an avid cat lover. Fay was a member of the McEwen Senior Citizens Center and she volunteered with the local American Red Cross for many years. As the Matriarch of her family, she especially loved each of them unconditionally and enjoyed spending precious time with them. Fay will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation: will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until funeral service time at Humphreys County Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David Deavers will be officiating the service. Interment: will follow in the W. S. Smith Cemetery, White Oak Ridge Road, McEwen, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Red Cross. You may also leave your donations at Humphreys County Funeral Home and we will gladly forward them for you.
