Retha Raye Stringer Mullinicks

Retha Raye Stringer Mullinicks, age 82, of McEwen, TN, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center, in Nashville, TN. Retha was born August 17, 1943, in McEwen, TN, to Emmitt Ray and Bernice Eugenia James Stringer. She was the Valedictorian of the McEwen High School Class of 1961. She married James Oscar “Jimmy” Mullinicks, Jr. on March 20, 1964, and they lived happily together for 61 years. She was a member of McEwen church of Christ. Retha loved her grandchildren dearly. She loved to cook, work puzzles, and play the dulcimer. She especially loved to travel everywhere with Jimmy, and they made precious memories together. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at McEwen church of Christ.

Funeral Services will be Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 2:30 p.m., at McEwen church of Christ. Bro. Jim Suddeath will be officiating the service.

Interment will follow in Sanders Cemetery, in McEwen, TN.
