Billy James Baker

Billy James Baker, age 59 of McEwen, TN passed away on Friday, October 10th, 2025. He was born in Waverly, TN on March 29, 1966, to the late Linda Joyce Forrester Baker and James Daniel Baker.
Billy often said some of his best childhood memories were his daddy packing him through the woods coon hunting and deer hunting. He was a 1984 graduate of McEwen High School and soon after began a 22 year tenure at Tennsco in Dickson, TN.
In 2006 he began his career in management at Accurate Energetic Systems and was there another 19 years. He worked every day of his life and was an excellent provider for his family. Billy was a leader in all aspects of life and never met a stranger. He was a best friend to all.
Billy was a Tennessee Vols fan and an arrowhead collector. He loved catfishing on the river and enjoyed beach vacations with his family.
Billy was a faithful member of The Poplar Grove Church of Christ and a devout family man. He never missed any of his sons' ballgames. He will be remembered as a loving husband, daddy, Pepaw, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 33 years, Angie Baker of McEwen, TN; sons, Brandon Baker (Meaghan) of Bold Spring, TN, Cole Baker (Allison), Zach Baker (Emily Lucas), and Ethan Baker, all of McEwen, TN; grandchildren Elleigh, Maggie, Auree, Anna Kate, Aeta, Dan, James Hazel, and Stevie Baker; and sister, Danna Baker Svanberg (Karl).
Along with his parents, Billy is preceded in death by an infant granddaughter.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, with visitation beginning at 10:00am until time of service at 4:00pm. Billy's sons, Brandon and Cole, and family friends, Tony Lee and Mark Gooch will conduct the service.
