Mrs. Odie Augusta Profitt, age 81 Of McEwen, TN passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, at TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. She was born February 21, 1944, in Waverly, TN to William Sr. and Letha Pearl Collier.
A devoted member of Zion Hill Church of God of Prophecy, Odie was known for her deep faith and dedication to her church community. Her passion for gospel music was evident to all who knew her, as she cherished attending Gospel singings throughout her life. These moments brought her immense joy and a sense of connection to her faith.
Odie was cherished not only for her vibrant spirit but also for her culinary skills, particularly her famous banana pudding, which brought joy to many.
Odie had a passion for life that was evident in her involvement with the McEwen Senior Citizens Center, where she enjoyed participating in Bingo games with friends. This lively pastime was just one of the many ways she connected with others and fostered friendships, making the most of her golden years.
Her proudest accomplishment was her deep love for her family. Odie cherished her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, expressing her affection and pride in each of their unique journeys and milestones. The bonds she nurtured will be remembered as a testament to her generous heart and the enduring legacy of love she leaves behind.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until service time Friday, April 18th at Humphreys County Funeral Home.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Profitt will be conducted at 3:00pm Friday, April 18, 2025, in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Chris Bohanon officiating.
Interment will follow in Curtis Chapel Cemetery in McEwen.
