Odile Fremin

Odile Eve Vedros Fremin, 95, a native of McCloud Plantation and a resident of Raceland, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until service time on Wednesday at St. Hilary Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday at St. Hilary with burial to follow at St. Mary cemetery. She is survived by her 3 sons, Wilbert P. (Peg), Gilbert J. (Carol), and Ralph J. (Ruth) Fremin; 2 daughters, Joyce Lecompte (Roland) and Delores Thomas (Andrew); 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Whitney Joseph Fremin; parents, Guillaume Martin Vedros and Josephine Arthemise Melancon Vedros; 5 brothers, Sylvester, Odey, Odless, Horace, and Oderick Vedros; and 2 sisters, Odeles V. Roux and Odella V. RIchoux. She belonged to the Raceland Senior Citizens, and was a parishioner of St. Hilary Catholic Church. She loved to play bingo and go to the casino. She always had a smile on her face and she never met a stranger – she lived life to the fullest. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
