Odon V. Perez, a cherished soul, departed this life on August 1, 2025, in Denver, Colorado, at the age of 84. Born on November 18, 1940, in Austin, Texas, Odon was a man who lived quietly, yet his presence was profoundly felt by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Though he was known for his private nature, Odon had a spirit that resonated kindness and respect. He embodied the role of a father figure to many, offering wise counsel and a warm smile. His humor, though subtle, could light up a room and bring joy to those around him. Odon cherished simple pleasures in life, often seeking comfort in watching westerns, engaging with religious programs, and keeping up with the news. He had a particular fondness for coffee and donuts, requesting coffee with unwavering consistency right up until the end.
Odon shared his life with a loving family that continues to hold him dearly in their hearts. He is survived by his siblings: Joe, Fred (Cindy), Ray (Julia), Laurencio (Sara), Margarita, Carmen (Ernest), Alicia (Lalo), and Rosa, along with numerous nieces and nephews who cherished his presence. The bond they shared will continue to be a source of strength and remembrance.
He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Jesus and Maria Perez, and siblings Mito, Lupe, Jesse, and Josie, who now welcome him back with open arms.
A celebration of Odon’s remarkable life will take place on August 14, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Metro in Denver, Colorado. Family and friends are invited to share in a viewing from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by the celebration of life ceremony from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. An additional gathering will continue until 3:00 PM to honor and reflect on the life of this gentle man who touched so many lives.
Odon V. Perez will be remembered not only for his quiet demeanor but also for the warmth of his heart, his kindness, and the legacy of love he leaves behind. May he rest peacefully, forever embraced by the love of his family and friends.
