Cassandra Sybil Miles 

February 14, 1955 – February 16, 2026

Cassandra Sybil Miles, 71, passed away on February 16, 2026, just two days after her 71st birthday. She was born on February 14, 1955.

Cassandra faced lifelong struggles with mental illness, challenges she carried with quiet strength. Though her life was not without hardship, she remained deeply loved by her family. 

In her younger years, Cassandra worked as a nurse’s aide, dedicating herself to caring for others. She graduated from Golden High School, where her love for music blossomed — a passion that stayed with her throughout her life. Music brought her comfort and joy. 

She also had a special love for cats and found companionship in their gentle presence over the years. 

Cassandra loved her children and, in the best ways she knew how, would have done anything they needed. Her love was sincere and steadfast. 

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Eileen Daniels, 46, of Commerce City, Colorado, and Stephanie’s husband, Ryan Daniels; her son, Steven Thurman, and his wife, Peggy Konold. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kyle, Monica, and Christian; and her great-grandchildren, including Damaris, Zaylee, and Santino. She is survived by her mother, Louise Miles, 90, of Arvada, Colorado; her sisters, Nanci Saxton Torres, Ella VanDamme, and Gloria Hagen; along with extended family members who will remember her in their own ways.

Cassandra will be remembered for her love of music, her fondness for cats, and the love she carried for her family throughout her life. May she now be at peace.

Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, Colorado, on February 27, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. All who knew her and loved her are welcome to attend.
