Ola Lucille Bodden was born on March 26,1944 to John Sales and Flora Nobles Sales in Heavner, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Doug Sales, two sisters June Murders and Retha Murders, and her daughter Doris Swan.
Lucille, as her friends and family referred to her, was married to Jonathan Bodden on December 19, 1992. They were together until his passing on June 28, 2010. She was always his “Sweetie”.
She is survived by her son Jeff Ward (Terri), her brothers Leroy Sales (Carolyn), Chuck Sales (Jamie), and a sister Sandy Dennis. She is also survived by her step-daughter, Debi Ragsdale who was always there in recent years to check on Lucille run an errand or take her on a quick road trip.
Lucille was blessed with 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great children.
She had many nieces and nephews who she loved with all her heart and many friends and other loved ones who will miss her dearly.
Lucille retired from Munro & Company after 40 years of employment. She retired as a successful computer operator.
Pall bearers will be Terry Ragsdale, who was always a dear friend to Lucille, along with her grandsons and great grandsons.
The funeral service will be on Monday, February 17, at the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel. The visitation will begin at 10:00am with an 11:00am service to follow. Interment will be at Morning Star Cemetery.
