Ola Mae Whitfield

Ola Mae Whitfield, 92, of Woodville, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025. Ms. Whitfield was the proud owner of Granny Mae Daycare in Tallahassee, where she lovingly cared for countless children over the years. She was known for her nurturing spirit, her generosity, and her unwavering love for her family. Ola Mae enjoyed gardening and found joy in tending to her flowers. She was also a talented quilter, creating beautiful pieces that will be cherished for generations to come. She is survived by her children: three sons, Paul Whitfield, Ben Whitfield (Sandy), and Kenny Whitfield; one daughter, Barbara Whitfield; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. A service to honor her life will be announced at a later date. Skip and Trey Young are assisting the family along with Paula and Amanda.
