OLAN BARNETT Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Green Hills Funeral Home - Middlesboro on Feb. 17, 2026.
Olan Keith Barnett, age 72 of Middlesboro, Kentucky, passed away on February 10, 2026 at his home.

He was born February 20, 1953 in Middlesboro to the late Olan Ray and LouVernia Barnett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Delbert Barnett.

Keith was a true handyman with the talent to fix anything and everything – large or small. Because of his knack at being a "fixer-upper", his family and friends could always turn to him for help for which he gladly would come.

A lover of nature, Keith enjoyed simply being surrounded by the mountains and enjoying the fresh air of the outdoors. He also had a fondness for music and loved to listen to a good tune. His exceptional handyman skills, his ability to fix any problem and his willingness to help others will be remembered by those who loved him, and a void left when the next thing needs fixing.

Left to cherish his memory, son Adam Barnett, daughter Jessica Rieman and husband Derek, brothers Harold Barnett and wife Brenda, Shannon Barnett, sisters Lucinda Porter and husband Christopher, Scharlotte Niebling and husband William, Allene Turner and husband Louie, Kathy Sutton and Kay Allen, grandchildren Andrew Barnett, Noah Barnett, Daisy Barnett, Chason Rieman and Westen Rieman, close family member and friend Micki Weed, special friends Timmy Wayne Barnett and Tommy Barnett, as well as a host of many other relatives and friends who will miss him so dearly.

The family of Keith Barnett will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Wilson officiating. Music will be provided by his son, Adam Barnett.

Graveside Services to immediately follow at the Barnett Family Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Adam Barnett, Shannon Barnett, Harold Barnett and John Hoskins.

Green Hills Funeral Home, Middlesboro, is honored to serve the Barnett Family.
