Olga Friske, 93 of Charlevoix, entered the kingdom of heaven, April 30, 2025. She was born in Horodytschtsche, Poland the daughter of Adolf and Rosalie (Hauptstein) Kottke.
Olga was a dedicated and faithful woman who centered her life around her family and her family’s work. She loved the Lord, reading her Bible daily, and lived her life as an example of her strong faith.
Olga was always busy, working with her hands and could often be found peeling and cutting apples by the bushel. She enjoyed cooking and feeding her family and had many wonderful recipes that she passed down for the family to continue to enjoy. Some of those recipes are used daily at the family farm market. Olga loved being surrounded by her family and was always helping out and pitching in wherever needed.
Her legacy will be cherished and missed by many including her children Judy Kehr, Richard Jr (Wendy) Friske, Neil Friske, brother Kurt (Dorle) Kottke of Germany, 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Sr., her sister, 3 brothers, and her parents.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 11, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Friske’s Farm Market with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 4:30 p.m. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Richard in Ellsworth Cemetery.
