Englewood Florida - Olga (Zednicek) C. Nagel, 101 years old, formerly from Saginaw, Michigan, and a resident of Englewood Florida, passed peacefully Monday afternoon November 8, 2021.
A native of Michigan, she was born on May 01, 1920 to Anna and Michael Zednicek and was educated in Michigan Public School up to the eighth grade before starting to work at caring for a home in Gulf Side. employed at Saginaw Baking Company, owned by the Nagel family, where she met Paul G. Nagel. Married Paul February 4, 1939, and were together for 52 years, prior to his passing on June 19, 1991. Employed at Canteen Vending Company from May 27, 1966 and retired on December 23, 1977. Moved to Englewood Florida and made their home there.
They were blessed with a daughter Annette (Nagel) Peters and a son Michael. Olga was predeceased by her daughter Annette on March 27, 2011 and by 2 brothers, Frank and Gus Zedincek and one sister Anne Spousta (Zednicek).
Olga was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Saginaw, Michigan and Redeemer Lutheran Church in Englewood, Florida. She was a member of the woman's group,a baker, loved to read and enjoyed traveling, playing cards and bowling.
She leaves to remember her with love and affection, her son Michael and Daughter-in-law Colette. Additionally, she leaves 3 grandchildren, Lori (Russell) Clark, Scott Peters (Michelle), Craig (Cheryl) Peters and 7 great grandchildren, Paul, Kasey, Hallie Clark (Samual Pryer), Mathew, Jason, Thomas and Joshua Peters.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 2 PM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 6564 Mayport Street, Englewood, FL 34224 with Rev. James T. Kress, Sr., Pastor, officiating.
An additional service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11 Am at the Brook-To-Bay Mobile Home Park also with Rec. James T. Kress, Sr., Pastor, officiating.
Inurnment will be at the Oakwood Mausoleum in Saginaw, Michigan
