Olga Igorevna Shepeleva, age 71, of Lake Balboa, CA, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2024.
A beautiful soul, Olga was born in December of 1952 in Blagoveshchensk, Russia, and her life journey took her on many remarkable paths. After graduating from University, she embarked on a new chapter in Magadan, where she found love and built a family with a Navy Officer. Together, they lovingly raised their two daughters over 25 years.
Following her daughters to Anchorage, AK, Olga embraced the Alaskan wilderness and its unique beauty until 2009 when she decided to chase the sun to California. It was there, in the Golden State, where she embraced retirement with open arms and lived each day to the fullest.
Olga's spirit was one of adventure and curiosity. She always sought out new experiences, savored the finer things in life, and reveled in the joy of discovering the world around her. Yet, above all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her unwavering love and support were constants in the lives of her family.
As her only grandchild, Derek, grew, Olga was his biggest cheerleader, always standing by his side as he pursued his dreams. Her daughters, Victoria and Svetlana, could always count on her steadfast presence and unconditional love. Olga's strength and kindness endeared her to all who knew her, and her warm spirit brought comfort and joy to her family and friends.
In her passing, Olga is reunited with her beloved parents, Igor and Elizaveta. She leaves behind her loving brother, Aleksey, her daughters, Victoria and Svetlana, and her cherished grandson, Derek. Olga's legacy of love, resilience, and devotion will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know her. May her memory be a blessing, and may she rest in eternal peace.
