OLIN DEREK GRANT, SR.

Olin Derek Grant, Sr., age 59, transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus. He was native of Gretna, LA (McDonoghville Community) and a resident of Avondale, LA. Olin was a former employee of Silocaf USA LLC. He was a faithful member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Loving father of Olin Derek Grant, Jr. Beloved son of the late Robert Anderson and Mureline Grant. Grandson of the late William Grant, Jr. and Mary Grant. Devoted brother of Rev. Dr. Orin D. (First Lady Myrna A.) Grant, Sr. Uncle of Travis L. (Ariell) Galle II, Ryan J. (Nadia) Galle, and the late Orin D. Grant, Jr. Great uncle of Morgan R. Galle and Aidan J. Galle. Cherished nephew of Joyce L. Grant-Campbell, Josephine Gray-Hartman, Rachel Gray, and the late William Grant III and Kathleen Boyer-Price. Olin is also survived by a host of   cousins, other relatives, and friends.
