Olive ‘Joan’ McCue, 86, of S. Ray Street, died Sunday, September 21, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle, PA. She was born on March 7, 1939, in Mercer, PA, the daughter of the late Carol King and Grace. She was married to the late Charles Lee McCue, who died May of 1981. Mrs. McCue worked at Golden Hill Nursing Home as a Dietary Aid for 30 years. She loved working and above all, she loved being with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammy J. Iorio and her husband Ronald of Kennerdell, PA, and Tracy J. Cooper and her husband Robert of New Castle, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren, three brothers, Richard King, Edward King, and Richard Shaffer, and one sister, Marilyn Ross.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sons, Thomas L. McCue and Timothy C. McCue, and a number of brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Funeral services will be celebrated Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Matthew Bupp will officiate.
