Nana was a great mother-in-law, and a woman that I greatly admired. During our visits together, I enjoyed hearing many stories from her childhood, as well as her life here in Richmond. She was a smart straight foward person, and her strong value system shined through in her commitment and love to family, friends, and the untold number of volunteer hours, visits and good works through various agencies and the church she loved. Hal and Margaret, you were a generous support system for her here at home, and no mother could ask for more.

Jackie was truly one of the great generation- poised, intellegent, gentle, kind and a lady. Would that we had more like her; she set a high standard for family and friends.

Mom was a strong, intelligent, creative, energetic and fun person. And even when her physical strength ebbed, she was still always loving and kind. She will be missed but I think her spirit will live on in us. I feel blessed to have had such amazing parents!

The world's greatest Mother-in-law is now in Heaven with her two sons, husband, and her Mom and Dad. She was loved and respected by soooo many people. Heaven's win and earth's loss...

Hal, I went to school with you long, long ago, but I saw the notice of your mom's passing and wanted to tell you how sorry I am. My own mom passed away 3 years ago and there are tines it still feels like yesterday. It's hard when our parents leave and so I wanted to say that my thoughts are with you and I'll offer up warm prayers for your mom. Way back at Tuckahoe Jr High, I was Jenny Crouch and my best friend was Sharon Dennis. She goes by Sherry now and lives in Tn. I'll be forwarding this notice to her and I know when she reads it, she'll be wishing all good things for your family as well.
Blessings today and always for you and your family, Hal.
