“Grief never ends, but it changes. It’s a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith. Grief is the price of love.”
My beautiful mom passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025. She was the strongest woman I knew. She was the last to eat, the last to go to bed, but the first to rise and start all over. She sewed beautifully in between cooking, cleaning, and taking care of everyone’s needs. She never complained about anything, she was never sick. She was strong in her faith…her love for her family was felt through her unending prayers. She was strong-willed… fought for herself, her family and her beliefs. She was rooted like an oak tree, never wavering. She loved all the 8 children… her 30 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren & everyone’s children. She built a legacy that will go on for years to come. She will be watching over us & continue to pray for all of us. My brother Tim & I were blessed to be with her as she took her last breath & her soul was released to be carried on wings of angels as she met our Lord & was reunited with my dad, her 2 daughters and all of her loved ones that have gone before her. It gives me peace knowing they took her hand when she let go of mine. I am honored to have been her daughter & I hope to be as strong for my family. Love you mom, Shannon.
Olive was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dan, and daughters Bridget and Paula. She is survived by her children Kathy (Bill), Colleen, Danny (Triana), Sheila, Tim (Jackie), Shannon (Chris), and son-in-law Keith.
