Oliver Malone Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Maryland Cremation Services on Mar. 3, 2026.
It is with profound sadness, yet immense gratitude for a life well-lived, that we announce the passing of Glenn Malone, on February 26, 2026, at the age of 70. Glenn left this world peacefully at his home in Annapolis, Maryland, holding the hand of his beloved wife Lisa, after valiantly battling cancer for a year.

Born on November 10, 1955, in Annapolis, Glenn was the cherished son of Oliver and Francis Malone, who predeceased him. He was a proud graduate of Severna Park High School, class of 1974, and carried his Maryland roots with him throughout his life. Glenn's career as a carpenter spanned an impressive 50 years, during which he rose to the esteemed level of a master carpenter. His journey in carpentry was not just a job but a passion that defined much of his life. After years of honing his craft, Glenn and Lisa took a leap of faith and founded G & L Building and Design. With dedication and unparalleled skill, Glenn built a thriving business, known far and wide for its high-quality work and Glenn's legendary attention to detail. His clients, some of whom spanned decades, trusted him implicitly, a testament to his integrity and work ethic.

Beyond his professional life, Glenn was a man of many passions. He found joy in the open roads on his Harley Davidson Fatboy, embraced the challenge of a good golf game, and cherished the camaraderie of playing softball and coaching baseball. An adventurer at heart, he loved traveling to the Caribbean with Lisa by his side, savoring the sun-drenched escapes. Weekends were often spent riding, boating, or camping, creating memories with family and friends.

Glenn's personal traits were as finely crafted as his carpentry. With a no-nonsense demeanor and a sharp wit, his sarcasm was legendary among those who knew him well. Yet, beneath that hard exterior lay a heart full of warmth and kindness, always in the right place, always ready to lend a hand.

The true cornerstone of Glenn's life was his family. Married to Lisa on March 20, 1998, in Annapolis, they shared 28 wonderful years together. They raised a loving, blended family and filled their lives with shared adventures, laughter, and unwavering love. Glenn was often seen with one of his little Yorkies by his side and is survived by his devoted wife Lisa, and their children Carrie, Glenny, Nicole, Sarah, and Theodore. His legacy is further carried on by his six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A celebration of Glenn's life will be held on March 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Cape St. Claire Clubhouse, located at 1223 River Bay Rd, Annapolis, MD 21409. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, honoring Glenn's courageous battle. Donations can be made online at https://donate.cancer.org/.

Glenn Malone was a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends and in the countless lives he touched through his work. Ride free, dear Glenn, you will be forever missed but never forgotten.
