Oliver Moss Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Oliver Moss Jr. who left us peacefully on Aug. 28, 2025, at the age of 70. He brought warmth, laughter, and love to all who knew him.
Born in Oakland, California to Oliver Joseph Moss Sr. and Irene Christine Moss. His parents and sisters, Kerry Wayne Moss, Kathryn Williams, preceded him in death. Oliver Jr. was known for his kindness, construction abilities, and as a jack of all trades.
Oliver Jr. is survived by his wife, Dorothea Moss; two daughters, Demeka Moss and Jabaree Moss; one son, Oliver Moss III; one daughter-in-law, Mary Alyce Moss; four grand children, Naya, Oliver, Olivia and Caleb Moss; brother, Kevin Wayne Moss; two sisters, Olivia Marie Stewart and Charlotte Ann James; one brother-in-law, Gregory Sr. Oliver. As well as a host of nieces and nephews and many dear friends and extended family members that are too many to name who will miss him deeply.
A memorial service for Oliver will be held at 1 p.m. on Sept. 9, 2025. The location will be New Jerusalem COGIC, 2515 Mission Road, North Pole, AK, 99705.
