Olivia González

Olivia González (née Viesca), 78, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025 at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center in Houston, Texas, surrounded by members of her loving family.

Olivia was born on June 3, 1947 in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico to Pedro Viesca and Isabel Salas. In 1967, Olivia came to the United States with her sister and in 1969, she met Gonzalo González. They were married on October 9, 1971 and eventually settled in southwest Houston, where they would start their own family. Those who knew Olivia knew her to be strong-willed and a woman of faith. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, overseeing a household full of children and grandchildren.

Olivia is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Isabel, and her brothers Felipe, Jorge, Fernando, and Pedro. She is survived by her husband, Gonzalo, their sons Juan Paulo (and his wife Irene) and Pedro Antonio (and his wife Christina), their daughter Desireé, their grandchildren Matthew, Christian, Jacob, Tyler, Mia, Celeste, Roxwell, Avynder, and Sagacious, their great-grandson Roman, her brothers Guillermo, Sergio, and Gerardo, and her sisters Veronica, Ofelia, Patricia, and Elizabeth.

A viewing will be held on November 22, 2025 at Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
