In Loving Celebration of Olivia Grace Schultz
January 18, 1932 – November 3, 2025
With hearts full of gratitude for a life beautifully lived, the family of Olivia Schultz joyfully remembers their beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who passed peacefully at the age of 93 on November 3rd, surrounded by love, and stories that will be retold for generations.
Olivia was the cherished daughter of Robert and Dorothy Hedeman. She grew up with three siblings, Dorothy, Robert and Donna. In 1950, she married her sweetheart, Richard Schultz, and together they built a home rich in love, hard work, and humor. They raised two children Holly and Rick, teaching them the importance of kindness, integrity, and appreciation of the little things(especially that of chocolate!).
A woman of boundless energy and generosity, Olivia had a gift for making people feel special. She was the first to send a card, bake a cake, crack a joke, or show up when someone needed her most.
She took immense pride in being "Grammy" and later "Great-Grammy," delighting in each new generation with the same enthusiasm she brought to every chapter of her life.
Olivia also had countless friends who became like family. Whether as a successful businesswoman, her time as in hospitality at the Cabot Lodge, or her passions of cooking and antiquing, she shared her time and spirit freely.
She is survived by her Daughter Holly Darwin, Son-in-Law Tim Darwin, Granddaughter Croix Darwin with her husband Zachary Lee, and her great grandson, Scottie Lee and preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Schultz, and cherished son, Richard "Ricky" Schultz.
While she requested no service or gathering be held in her honor, the family invites you to donate in lieu of flowers, to the American Brain Tumor Association as their mission meant a lot to her and Richard.
As we say goodbye, we remember her zest for life and genuine kindness which made her a treasured figure in the communities she called home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Forest Meadows Funeral Home 725 NW 23rd Ave Gainesville FL 32609...352-378-2528
