Olivia Rae Greene Thornton

Olivia Rae Greene Thornton was born on September 29, 1943, and died on March 29, 2026, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

She married Charles F. Thornton on October 13, 1959. They were married for almost 57 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Thornton and her first granddaughter, Erica Boulas.

She loved traveling, working in her yard, reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Robin T. Kearney (Alvin), Ramona T. Bunner (John) and Rhonda T. Lindsey (Steve); her grandchildren, Heather Lindsey Holland (Hugo), Joshua A. Kearney (Jennifer), and Megan D. Lindsey; her great-grandchildren, Christopher B. Boulas, Pippa S. Monk, Wayne A. Kearney, Liam J. Kearney, Wyatt A. Holland, Elliott W. Holland, and her beloved dog, Elsie.

Pallbearers will be Alvin Kearney, Hugo Holland, Steve Smith, Joshua Kearney, Brian Boulas, and Paul Spillers.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Rose Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Gary Greene officiating and interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends Friday, April 3, 2026, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home.
