Our Father who is wise and merciful called our dearly beloved, Ollie Katherine Richardson Clark, to eternal rest Wednesday, November 6, 2024. She was born January 18, 1934, in Anson County, North Carolina to the parentage of Ellen Smith and Whit Richardson. Ollie was reared by Horace and Laura Smith Clark. A ray of sunshine, kindness, and compassion, Ollie now soars with the angels and is a beautiful blossoming flower in Our Father's Garden. We are thankful for 90 years of shared blessings extended by Ollie to her family and the many lives she touched.
Ollie was educated in the Anson County public schools and was employed with Harwood Florist, Albemarle, North Carolina. She resided in Connecticut for several years before returning to her childhood home, Stanly County, North Carolina. A believer, Ollie was a life-long member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Ansonville, North Carolina.
She was adventurous and enjoyed the finer things in life. Never idle, Ollie loved designing flowers, reading, dancing, and family gatherings. She was a fashionista who enjoyed shopping. She also loved music and listening to the Williams Brothers Gospel Group.
Welcoming Ollie to her heavenly home were her parents and grandparents; son, Tony Richardson; grandsons: Darren Clark and David Lennon; siblings: Hattie Crump, Laura Wall, Jessie Clark, Slay Junior Craig, Paul Kendall, Joe Clark, and Phillip Clark.
Ollie will be lovingly remembered by her son, Robert Richardson; sister-in-law, Sarah Clark; niece and caregiver, JoRita Clark; a host of nephews, other relatives and friends.
We are comforted in knowing that our dear Ollie is at home, safe in Our Father's Arms. Although gone from our earthly home, her memory will forever live in our hearts of shared blessings extended by Ollie to her family and the many lives she touched.
"Good night, dear Ollie, may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest."
