William Oliver “Ollie” “Great” Dominick, 97, of Prosperity, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at his home.
Born on March 31, 1927, in Prosperity, he was a son of the late William Lee and Annie Elizabeth Summer Dominick. Mr. Dominick proudly served in the Marines. He was a building contractor and operated Oliver Dominick and Son for over forty years. He was a former member of the American Legion and the Home Builders Association. He was awarded the National Blue Ribbon Award for 1973-1974.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty Garrett Dominick; a son, Stephen Ollie (Cherrie) Dominick; a sister, Mary Ruth Chapman; a brother, James Lee “Pal” Dominick; grandchildren, Allie Dominick and Henry Lee (Kim) Dominick; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Caroline Likes, Olivia, Liam and Silas Dominick; daughters-in-law, Ann Dominick and Rebecca Dominick.
Mr. Dominick was predeceased by a son, Leslie Lee Dominick and a granddaughter, Stephanie Nicole Likes.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. R.T. Bowling. The family will receive friends following the service.
