Olly Brent Rogers III

The Life and Legacy of Olly Brent Rogers III "BJ"

Olly Brent Rogers III also known as "BJ" was born on August 13th 1976 in Cleveland, Oh to Bernetta and Olly Rogers Jr. To this union also was born Alea Rogers, known as "Bj's little sister. Their bond was unbreakable as they always had each other's back.

Bj accepted the Lord at an early age at Second Ebenezer Baptist Church and later in life recommitted his faith at Fellowship Church of God.

"Bj" was well known in the "Buckeye Area of Cleveland and repped his hood proudly as he showcased his love and loyalty by carrying the phrase "Buckeye's Finest" tattooed on his arm, he was a Buckeye Original to say the least. Bj was also known for his sense of humor, always cracking jokes and being the family comedian. Although known for his humor and jokes, one thing he did not play about was his family!

In 2005, Bj wedded Taniya Teasley and was the proud Father to three beautiful daughters: Kayla, Kania (Nunu) and Kiarra (Mona) as he called his "3 K's". He took his role of fatherhood and grandparenting ("Capa" as the grandchildren affectionately called him) seriously, and took pride in his family, showing up for everyone however he could. Bj loved family gatherings and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Bj wore many hats and held many talents, one of which was earning his culinary arts degree. He baked the best desserts and treats from his famous pineapple upside down cakes to his German chocolate cakes and let's not forget his banana pudding. You name it, he could do it and truly had a passion for feeding his family and seeing the delight on their faces, with his tasty and satisfying meals and desserts. In addition to culinary, he also attended Job corps and Remington College and received certifications in Welding, HVAC and Electronics.

Bj was like a "Gentle Giant, hard and serious on the outside, but loving, caring, sweet and a jokester on the inside. On February 14th 2026 "the day of Love" another one of his jokes, making sure we don't forget him" Bj departed this earth. He was preceded in death by his father Olly Rogers Jr and Grandparents.

Bj leaves to cherish and celebrate his life and memories, his loving mother Bernetta Rogers, sister Alea Rogers, Daughters, Kayla, Kania and Kiarra Teasley, grandchildren
