Oma Mae Byrne

Oma Mae Huse Byrne, 86, passed away in Snyder, TX surrounded by her family, November 26, 2025 at her daughter's residence. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 30, 2025 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Pastor John Pena officiating. Interment will follow in Sweetwater Cemetery directed by McCoy Funeral Home. A family visitation will be held from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. Saturday at McCoy Funeral Home. She was born March 1, 1939 in Quannah, Texas to Joseph Lee and Nellie Lee (Morris) Huse. Oma had lived in Snyder for the past ten years and in Sweetwater since she was a child before that. She married Billy Joe Byrne in 1954 in Sweetwater, TX. He preceded her in death December 17, 1990. Oma had worked some for Pace Packing Company but was a homemaker most of life. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary unit # 181 in Snyder for several years. She was a lifelong Baptist. Oma is survived by four daughters, Brenda Kay Mogg and husband Phillip of Snyder, TX, Jodi Michelle Dering of Snyder, TX, Kimberly Hardy od Sweetwater, TX, Tammy Lee Byrne of Snyder, TX, two sons, Bill "Buger" Byrne of Snyder, TX, Ricky Dean Byrne of Snyder, TX, 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a daughter, Debbie Franklin, and a son, Billy Joe Byrne, Jr., a sister, Ida Bell Epperson, and four brothers, John Huse, Earl Huse, Omer Huse, Carl Huse. Pallbearers will be, Bo Byrne, Keith Byrne, Dmaria Byrne, Clint Head, Zach Welch, Michael Harris. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kason Head, Koltyn Dubose, Billy McQueen, Phillip Mogg.
