Another angel has been called home. Rebecca Jane Monroe, known as Becky to most, has left her earthly body to be with her family in heaven. She was born in Sweetwater Texas on March the 28th of 1953 to Julia Fern (Smith) and Joseph Benjamin (Mutt) Monroe. She was blessed with 4 siblings; Brenda, Sue, Lisa and Jim Buck. She was raised in Nolan, Texas, attending school and graduating from Divide High School. After high school she married Marlon Williams and they had two daughters, Shelly and Christy, who went on to give her some of the greatest joys of her life, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and multiple great granddogs. Becky worked various jobs throughout her life, spending time working for the bank in Sweetwater, Fairway Oaks Country Club in Abilene, pumping oil wells surrounding Blackwell and finishing up her working career as a prison guard at the Robertson unit of TDCJ in Abilene, TX. But her favorite job by far was being "Nana" to all of her grands and great grands. Following retirement from TDCJ, she quickly became a master crafter in her new found hobbies, bringing out the artistic talents she holds in sewing, art work, pottery and creativity. She was known as a fun-loving spirit that brought smiles to faces all around her. She was a beacon of strength and love with no boundaries. To know her was definitely to love her. She is preceded in death by her mother, Fern and her father, "Mutt" Monroe. A memorial service has been planned for Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Blackwell, Texas. Her ashes will be buried along side of her mother and father in Slater's Chapel Cemetery in Nolan, Texas.
