He was born in Paducah, Texas on July 27,1933 to Xenophan & Mattie(Cloud) Gregory. He spent his childhood in Wolfe City, Texas where he graduated high school and joined the Army. He traveled and served in several countries. He worked many years in the oilfield, including overseas. Later in life, he was a driver for Fed-Ex Freight for 20+ years until he retired. He was always a hard worker. He married Wilma Jean Betts on June 9, 1984. They made their home in Brownwood, Texas for 30 years. He moved to Sweetwater in 2019.
Bill is survived by his son, Jack Gregory of Fay, Oklahoma; three daughters, Sue Grubbs of Watonga, Oklahoma, Billie Faye Pfeifle, and husband Rob of Crestview, Florida, Billie Jo Clark and husband Junior of Sweetwater, Texas; Stepson, Charles Harvey and wife Linda of Brownwood, Texas. He also leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren on the way. He is preceded in death by his wife Wilma, his parents, daughter Debra Joyce, sister Dorothy and 2grandsons, Chuck and Paul Wayne.
His wishes were to be cremated and to have a remembrance gathering to be announced at a later date.
